Allow me to introduce myself
My name is Wesley Barnes and I'm a young performer chasing a dream and learning lessons everyday. I was born and raised in Los Angeles CA, but now live in Brooklyn, NY. My love for the arts was found in church. Yup. It was there, I knew I wanted to pursue a career as a performer. I began with Tap classes at Universal Dance Designs where I later became a member of the world re-known Kennedy Tap Company under the direction of Paul and Arlene Kennedy. With this company I had the honor of performing for numerous events such as, the PBS Holiday Spectacular, NAACP Image Awards, Steve Harvey's Big Time, Michael Jackson's 45th Birthday Party, and events honoring the late Debbie Reynolds. Through my middle school drama club, I discovered the beauty of live theatre. From there I went on to study theatre at LACHSA (Los Angeles County High School for the Arts), and Concordia University Irvine where I received a BA in Theatre Performance and Musical Theatre. I am blessed to live my life as a professional performer in NYC, and passionate about the opportunities to give back what was given to me.
My future biography would
"A seed was Planted"
"When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single drop of talent left, and could say 'I used everything you gave me'".
